On June 26th, the Graduation Ceremony of 2019 International Students was solemnly held in the Science Hall.
45 doctoral students, 150 master students and 41 undergraduates graduated and 199 preparatory college students and 75 language study students completed their courses. Among them, 130 international students were awarded Certificate for Excellent International Students.
Zhao lingyun, President of CCNU, extended warm congratulations to the graduates. He wished that the international students would continue studying Chinese after graduation and getting to know about Chinese culture and the constantly changing and rapidly developing China. And also keep contact with CCNU and Chinese friends and build bridges of friendship for the cooperation between China and the rest of the world. He hoped that the 2019 international graduates would work hard, pursue life-long learning and create a better future for themselves and their countries.“Groups of international students from all over the world pursue their studies on Guizi Mountain, bringing diverse culture and customs from different countries. Successive international graduates leave Guizi Mountain, spreading the CCNU spirit to every corner of the world.”
After the announcement of decision for granting degrees, closing and commendation, the university leaders and teachers granted degrees to graduates and awarded Certificate of Completion to preparatory college students and language study students and Certificate of Commendation to excellent international students.
Representative of Malaysian masters of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language presented CCNU a memorial. This year, 43 Malaysian masters are graduating; 28 of them came from Malaysia to attend the graduation ceremony.
Liu Jianli, representative of teachers from the College of International Cultural Exchange, recalled with affection the time he spent with students.“I hope you will stay enthusiastic, and love the people around you. But more importantly, learn to love yourself first. Find out your strengths and love yourself. Respect your dreams and efforts. Make yourself a better person.”
Lu Jiewen, representative of international graduates, Malaysian master of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, shared her experience of studying in CCNU, expressed her gratitude and love for CCNU and extended her best wishes as well.
Areen Ahmed Muhammed, Representative of excellent international students, Kurdish PhD from the School of Languages, gave a warm speech on the ceremony. He expressed thanks to CCNU’s cultivation and wishes for all graduates to have a promising future. “Proudly I say I am CCNUer and graduate of this beloved university - east or west, CCNU is the best.”
